Fascinating stories for school and home
Graduates of the University of Lincoln's Media department are creating informative and educational programmes on DVD for use in schools and in the home. There are currently two titles in pre-production:
Quality Prints at the Living Postcard Company
The Edwardian Seaside Holiday
Using old pictures and written accounts of the time, a local historian leads you through the lives of the Edwardian. Where they lived, the clothes they wore, how they travelled to the seaside and how they played. It is a fascinating insight into a time-gone-by. Now judge for yourself if they really were the 'Good Old Times'.
The Louth Disaster of 1920
Who says history does not repeat itself. This is the story of the flash flood that hit Louth in Lincolnshire in the afternoon of the 29th May 1920 killing 24 people and making 1000 homeless. This story raises the question, 'Can we learn from the past and prevent it happening again?'
